My Story

Hi I'm Ailsa and thank you for taking a moment to check out my fundraising page! For my first Great North Run I am running to raise money for The Twisting Ducks Theatre Company, an organisation who work with people with learning disabilities and autism, helping them to tackle inequalities and promote social change through performing arts.

Having worked in the Art Department in Film & TV for the previous 3 years I have witnessed how inaccessable the arts can be for parts of our community in the North East. I feel passionate about supporting this charity who are actively promoting and striving towards a more accessible and equitable world. They are championing the voices of local people and celebrating what makes everyone unique. Let the running training begin!
