My Story

Hi all,

On Sunday September 7th 2025 I will be at the start line of the Great North Run in Newcastle. This event is officially the worlds largest 1/2 marathon with 60,000 runners running the 13.1-mile course from Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields. I will be running this event on behalf of the Dragonfly Cancer Trust and I am looking for some amazing people to sponsor me on this challenge and in the process help support the great work that the Dragonfly Cancer Trust do day in day out.

The Dragonfly Cancer Trust is a truly amazing charity that I have had the honour of working with in the past.

The Dragonfly Cancer Trust provides young people, who have tragically received a terminal cancer diagnosis, the opportunity to make memories that they and their family can cherish. The money raised by this chairty helps these brave children fulfil a final wishlist/bucketlist that the children have.

When the opportunity arose to run as part of their fundraising team for the Great North Run, this was an invite I simply couldn’t turn down. Lets make a difference and help support these wonderful children.

I am very much looking forward to undertaking this challenge and I will be giving it my all on the day!

If anyone would be kind enough to donate I would be hugely grateful. I have a fundraising target set at £360, and I need your help to get over the finish line and raise as much money as we can for the brave children and their families.

All donations of any size are welcome. Thank you so much!
