My Story

I'm doing the Great North Run this year to support STS Charity. I have worked for the trust 10 year this september and did this run when i first qualified. I am running to rasie money for our hospital and our staff. I will also be running  in memory on my mam who was my  biggest supporter in becoming a nurse.

STS Charity is the dedicated charity for South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. It supports patients and staff across its three hospitals (Sunderland Royal, Sunderland Eye Infirmary and South Tyneside District Hiospital) and many community sites.

With the generous support of fundraisers the charity is able to:

  • fund specialist equipment
  • make hospitals more comfortable for those who need them
  • provide the necessary extras that make a difference

This work is made possible by those who donate, fundraise and volunteer to support the charity.

The charity is  registered with the Charity Commission as  the South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Funds (charity number 1052366).
