My Story

 IN 2019, 6 months after retirement from 30 year career with police I received the devastating news that I had breast cancer.  Luckily after early detection and fabulous care and support from our amazing NHS  , even during lockdown, I came out the other side.

Unfortunately two close friends, Noeline and Mel weren't so lucky and they lost their husband and soulmate . So I'm running in memory of Steve and Stu , to raise awareness and funds to help research and try to lower the devastating brutal impacts this awful cancer has on people x 

For too long, this disease has been sidelined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. We're here for you now, and funding research and campaigning to improve the future.

We are also running in memory of David , brother of our lovely running buddy Steph, and Rickers,( Stewart ), one of my old crew mates who lost his battle against pancreatic cancer within a month of diagnosis .
