My Story
Last September Charlotte, Lou and myself descended one rainy day to Newcastle to support lots of crazy people including Sam run the Great North Run. We laughed and said that we would never do such a thing, fast forward to now myself and Charlotte are running the whole thing all 13.1 miles (or 21.1km) to a hopefully sunny South Shields.
I am doing this to raise money for the North West Ambulance Service Charity. As some people may know am a volunteer Community First Responder in Alston providing basic life support to patients until an ambulance arrives which can take a while being in a rural community. This money will provide life saving support from funding defibrillators, essential medical equipment and continued training to volunteers.
It will also go towards funding school and community education programmes, providing safe spaces for staff to have their well earned break and support to staff and volunteers.
So please do feel free to donate if you can and leave some song suggestions motivating or not to be added to the race day playlist (do your worst), Thank you!!
