My Story
🙌🏻 Great news—your donation will be doubled thanks to match funding!
On Sunday, 30 November 2025, I’ll be attempting something extraordinary at the Running GP Croft Motor Circuit Half Marathon: running 21.1 km in a full rhino costume to raise funds for Save the Rhino International.
As a veterinarian from South Africa, rhino conservation is incredibly close to my heart. Today, three of the five rhino species are listed as Critically Endangered by the IUCN Red List. Every species faces immense threats from poaching, habitat loss, and the climate crisis.
To raise awareness and vital funds, I’ll not only be running in a rhino suit—but I’m also aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon dressed as a mammal. The current record stands at 1 hour, 47 minutes, and 30 seconds, set by Will Highfield in Jersey in 2023.
Save the Rhino International is a UK-registered charity funding vital rhino conservation programmes in Africa and Asia. Every donation makes a real difference—and thanks to match funding, whatever you donate will be doubled!
