My Story

I am running as part of Team u3a at The Great North Run., completing the half marathon challenge. This will be my first ever half marathon and will push me beyond my current 5K experience.

I will be raising money for The Third Age Trust, the organization which supports around 1,000 u3as with 400,000 members across the UK.

The u3a believes that learning can be life-changing. When members join u3a, we become part of a community – and through sharing our interests, create new friendships. All this while keeping fit togther, learning together, discovering skills we never knew we had and the courage to do so but, ultimately, having fun together.

The u3a is looking to expand its membership; with your fundraising and support we can create a future where everyone has a community around them – together we can help reduce loneliness and ensure everyone can learn, laugh and live to our fullest, no matter our age.
