About us

On the 7th of September I will be running the Great North Run and fundraising for Stray aid.

 Stray Aid is a registered charity focused on the welfare of stray, neglected, and abandoned dogs and unwanted cats in North East England, particularly in the County Durham area.

 Founded in 2006, Stray aid's mission is to rescue, reunite, and rehome, Unwanted Dogs and Cats, while also raising public awareness about responsible pet ownership.

 They are the council dog pound for County Durham and work with councils, police forces, and the public to help lost and unwanted animals.

The AJ Bell Great North Run is an opportunity for us all to come together on the 7th September and support one another. Its magic can be hard to understand – until you have experienced it yourself. You’re guaranteed a running event like no other - and a finish line feeling you’ll never forget.

It's not all about the adults, the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great North Run gives the kids a chance to experience that finish line feeling, earn a special medal & raise money for good causes.
