My Story

Hello Everyone!

 

I am running the Great North Run to support Steps UK, a fantastic charity that provides help and guidance to parents of children diagnosed with lower limb conditions. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, as two of my children have faced challenges with their mobility in early development.

 

My son was born with hip dysplasia, and my daughter was born with both hip dysplasia and bilateral talipes (clubfoot). Through our journey, I've seen firsthand the importance of having the right support, advice, and reassurance, something Steps UK offers to so many families and without the guidance and information they provided at such a stressful time it would have made our journey so much harder.

 

I want to raise as much money as possible to help this amazing charity continue its vital work. Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference. Thank you for your support!

60,000 determined and dedicated runners make the AJ Bell Great North Run the World’s biggest and best half marathon – famous for its warm North East welcome, unbeatable atmosphere and the millions raised for good causes. 

The AJ Bell Great North Run is an opportunity for us all to come together on the 7th September and support one another. Its magic can be hard to understand – until you have experienced it yourself. You’re guaranteed a running event like no other - and a finish line feeling you’ll never forget.

It's not all about the adults, the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great North Run gives the kids a chance to experience that finish line feeling, earn a special medal & raise money for good causes.
