My Story
I'm running the Great North Run again.
The world is a scary place at the moment and I can't think of anything scarier than being in need with no way home. That's why I'm running for Action Foundation.
On the day of the race I'll be a week away from turning 47, so of course it will be both profoundly uplifting (because it's a great event) and a horrible, exhausting experience (because I am old and weak). But the main thing is that I'm raising money for Action Foundation, who do amazing work helping refugees in the north-east.
Last year I - by which I mean everyone else (I just ran round Newcastle for a bit) - raised over £1,000 to help Action Foundation help those in need. This year we can do even better. Please, please, please give if you can. Thank you!
R.
