My Story
I'm running the Great North Run for Fibromyalgia Action UK in support of my friend Tracy, who lives with fibromyalgia. This condition brings daily challenges, including widespread pain, persistent fatigue, and occasional cognitive slips often referred to as “fibro fog.” Tracy deals with these symptoms regularly, making routine tasks more demanding than they should be.
Watching Tracy manage her condition has shown me how fibromyalgia can impact everyday life without being immediately visible to others. By taking part in this run, I hope to draw attention to the struggles faced by people with fibromyalgia while supporting the work that Fibromyalgia Action UK does in funding research and improving awareness.
Every mile I run will be a step toward better understanding and support for those affected by fibromyalgia. I appreciate any contributions toward this cause, as they go directly toward helping improve the quality of life for people like Tracy. Thank you for your support.
