My Story

 

Hi, I'm Sophie... 

On Sunday 7 September I will be running the AJ Bell Great North Run to raise money for the purchase of the Rothbury Estate in Northumberland.

I am lucky enough to be working as part of an incredible team to secure this site for Nature and the Nation, we are currently working hard to reach an enormous fundraising target by October 2026. If we are successful, we have some exciting plans for the site, in true Wildlife Trust style the site would be accessible to the public and could demonstrate how regenerative farming and nature’s recovery can coexist.

Here's the fun bit.... if I raise £2,000 or more, I will run the AJ Bell Great North Run as the famous Wildlife Trust badger!

The AJ Bell Great North Run is an opportunity for us all to come together on the 7th September and support one another. Its magic can be hard to understand – until you have experienced it yourself. You’re guaranteed a running event like no other - and a finish line feeling you’ll never forget.

It's not all about the adults, the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great North Run gives the kids a chance to experience that finish line feeling, earn a special medal & raise money for good causes.
