My Story

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. I’m running the Great North Run in memory of one of my closest friends, Margaret Adcock, who sadly passed away in June 2023, around a year after being diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.

Maj was undoubtedly one of the most inspiring, positive, and fun-loving people I’ve ever had the pleasure of calling a best friend. Through my running journey and fundraising efforts, I hope to celebrate her life and honour her legacy - saying her name, spreading awareness and raising funds for a charity working to prevent this from happening to others.

I’m proud to be fundraising for Alice’s Arc - an incredible children’s cancer charity that recently partnered with The Margaret Adcock Foundation to create Maggie’s Arc, in Maj’s name. Alice’s Arc is dedicated to finding a cure and kinder treatments for rhabdomyosarcoma. They fund groundbreaking research, develop targeted therapies, and support families affected by this devastating disease.
